Cafe Church

Coffee - Cake - Questions - Worship

Takes place on the last Sunday of most months - it is not at all like a ‘usual’ church service - we hope you will enjoy the cafe setting and like the experience of ‘church’ in a different way.

We begin with coffee & chat soaking up the cafe atmosphere (we serve drinks, biscuits and nibbles). During this time we usually project some songs onto the screen and there will be a brief welcome & introduction.

Each month there will usually be a theme related to what it means to Follow Jesus in everyday life. we encourage people to ask questions as we recognise that following Jesus isn’t easy.

We close with more coffee & chat and some cake!

There is no collection, but we do have a plate for any donation towards the Christian Mission of Cross-Links.

We gather at The Cross-Links Centre (9 Sheridan Road) on the last Sunday of every month starting at 3pm - you would be most welcome to join us.

The themes over the next few months will be:

25th May: “Store” - getting angry

29th June: “Today” - looking at the past?

27th July: “Name” - knowing who you are

”Jesus and Me”

  • Just who is this Jesus bloke?
  • Jesus Christ - real person or legend?
  • What does it mean to ‘follow’ Jesus?

Four sessions exploring these and other questions:

For more details, please contact Nigel or Nikki on (01304) 827859.

”The Bible and Me”

  • Just a good read and nothing more!
  • A Christian text book with little relevance for us today!

Whatever YOU think - this is an opportunity to take a fresh look at what the Bible has to offer us today.

Six sessions on Mondays from 1-2pm (with a simple lunch at 12.30pm if you’d like to join us)

The camp is from Saturday 26th July to Saturday 2nd August.

The cost is £70 per child (£30 no returnable deposit to be paid by 31st March and remaining £40 by the end of May) - we hope to reduce this to £50 per person after a fundraising effort prior to camp.
